Product description

Physical and chemical properties:

White crystal or amorphous powder. It has a relative density of 4.009 (at 16.4℃). It is insoluble in water but soluble in concentrated acids, and has strong corrosiveness. The dust irritates the eyes and respiratory tract, and corrodes the nasal septum; direct contact with the skin and eyes can cause burns; accidental ingestion can cause digestive tract burns, mucosal erosion, bleeding and shock.

Applications:

Electroplating-grade stannous pyrophosphate is mainly used for tin plating in cyanide-free electroplating. It is used as a filler in toothpaste, where it dissociates slightly and has a certain effect on preventing dental diseases. In the printing and dyeing industry, it is used for dyeing; in the ceramic industry, it is used for refining clay. In the coating industry, proper addition can slow down the sedimentation rate of paint fillers in paint and improve paint performance.
