Product information
Product name
Aminotrimethylene Phosphonic Acid (ATMP)

CAS number
6419-19-8

Molecular formula
N(CH2PO3H2)3

Structural formula

Product description

Properties:

ATMP has good chelating, threshold inhibition and lattice distortion effects. It can prevent scaling salts in water from forming scale, especially calcium carbonate scale. This product has stable chemical properties in water, is not easy to hydrolyze, and has a good corrosion inhibition effect when its concentration in water is relatively high.

Applications:

ATMP is used in circulating cooling water systems of thermal power plants and refineries, as well as in oilfield reinjection water systems, which can reduce the corrosion of metal equipment or pipelines. ATMP in solid form is a crystalline powder, easily soluble in water, highly hygroscopic, and convenient for transportation and use, especially suitable for cold regions in winter.
