Properties:
HEDP is an organophosphonic acid type scale and corrosion inhibitor. It can form stable complexes with various metal ions such as iron, copper, and zinc, and can dissolve oxides on metal surfaces. It can still exert good corrosion and scale inhibition effects at 250°C, remains stable under high pH conditions, is not easy to hydrolyze, and is not easy to decompose under general light and heat conditions. Its acid and alkali resistance, as well as chlorine oxidation resistance, are better than those of other organophosphonic acids (salts). It can form six-membered ring chelates with metal ions in water, especially calcium ions, thus having good scale inhibition effect and obvious solubility limit effect. When used in combination with other water treatment agents, it shows an ideal synergistic effect.
Applications:
Solid HEDP is a high-purity product, suitable for severely cold regions in winter; it is particularly applicable as a cleaning agent in the electronics industry and an additive in daily chemicals.
HEDP is widely used for scale inhibition and corrosion prevention in industrial circulating cooling water systems of power, chemical, metallurgical, fertilizer and other industries, as well as in medium and low pressure boilers, oilfield water injection and oil pipeline systems. In the light textile industry, it can be used as a cleaning agent for metals and non-metals, a peroxide stabilizer and color-fixing agent in the dyeing and bleaching industry, a complexing agent in cyanide-free electroplating industry, and a carrier for radioactive elements in the pharmaceutical industry.

Transportation conditions: It is strictly prohibited to mix and transport with oxidants, acids, edible chemicals, etc. During transportation, exposure to sunlight, rain, and high temperatures should be prevented. The vehicle should be cleaned after transportation. For road transportation, it shall follow the specified route. Air transportation: HEDP can be handled under ordinary cargo conditions.
Storage conditions: It should be stored in a cool and dry place. Attention should be paid to protecting it from sunlight, moisture and package damage. It is recommended to stack it on shelves or single-layer pallets.
Shelf life: Under the above storage and transportation conditions, the shelf life is 12 months.
