Product description

Physical and chemical properties:

Potassium tripolyphosphate is a white crystalline powder with a density of 2.54 g/cm³ and a melting point of 620–640°C. It is easily hydrolyzable and alkaline in aqueous solution. Potassium tripolyphosphate has good complexing and dispersing abilities.

Applications:

Industrial-grade potassium tripolyphosphate is widely used in fields such as metal surface treatment, paints and coatings, detergents, boiler descaling, oil well drilling, and printing and dyeing auxiliaries. Potassium tripolyphosphate can also be used as a high-efficiency plant nutrient, metal complexing agent, and soil conditioner.        Food-grade potassium tripolyphosphate is used as a texture improver, chelating agent, and moisture-retaining agent in the food industry. Compared with traditional sodium phosphate salts, it has better solubility. When applied in meat products, fish, shrimp, and dairy products, potassium tripolyphosphate particularly enhances the taste.
